Alex Remy is a legislative analyst at Blank Rome, bringing a wealth of analytical and research experience to the Blank Rome Government Relations team from his prior public and private sector roles. He assists with tracking pending legislation, reporting on recent hearing and markups, and any other research or policy analysis related needs clients may have.
Prior to joining Blank Rome Government Relations, Alex served as a cryptocurrency policy specialist at Robinhood Financial, helping spearhead the successful rollout of Robinhood Crypto to nearly all 50 states in the United States. Additionally, he ensured that Robinhood’s activities were SEC compliant and utilized various congressional outreach measures to leverage the legislature to advance Robinhood’s goals.
Before joining Robinhood, Alex served as a public policy fellow for CRD Associates in Washington, D.C., for nearly six months, getting a fast tracked crash course into the government relations industry. Alex has also served as an intern on two successful congressional campaigns as well as on Capitol Hill in the U.S. Senate.
Alex graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2016 with a B.A. in Political Science, minoring in Diplomacy. He is currently attending American University for a Masters in Business Administration and is anticipating graduating in December 2020.
Outside the Firm
Outside of the Firm, Alex enjoys watching and playing basketball, and plays in two city-wide men’s leagues each year. He also enjoys watching college sports, normally rooting for the underdog, being an avid UCF fan.
