Joan Bondareff Elected Chair of the Virginia Offshore Wind Development Authority
Blank Rome Of Counsel Joan Bondareff was recently elected chair of the Virginia Offshore Wind Development Authority (“VOWDA”), after previously serving as the authority’s vice-chair. VOWDA elected its new officers during its recent November 2016 meeting.
In the authority’s press release issued on November 21, Ms. Bondareff stated, ““I look forward to leading VOWDA and working with interested stakeholders. The Commonwealth is a leader in offshore wind development and we want to continue on that path.”
The Virginia Offshore Wind Development Authority was established for the purposes of facilitating, coordinating, and supporting the development of the offshore wind energy industry, offshore wind energy projects, and related supply chain opportunities.
