Blank Rome LLP is pleased to share that associate&nbsp;<a href="https://www.blankrome.com/people/lamiya-n-rahman">Lamiya N. Rahman</a>&nbsp;has been named a D.C. Rising Star by&nbsp;The&nbsp;National Law Journal&nbsp;in its&nbsp;<a href="https://www.law.com/nationallawjournal/2023/08/31/finalists-announced-for-the-national-law-journal-legal-awards-2023/">2023 Legal Awards</a>, which recognizes the top litigation and appellate work from the previous year.&nbsp;

Additionally, Blank Rome was named a finalist for the D.C. Diversity Initiative of the Year in recognition of&nbsp;the firm’s 21-Day Racial Equity Habit Building Leadership Challenge. Introduced to the firm by Blank Rome partner&nbsp;<a href="https://www.blankrome.com/people/dominique-l-casimir">Dominique L. Casimir</a>, the initiative included a syllabus of 21 daily assignments and small group discussions focusing on the Black American experience, including Black history, identity, and culture; the experience of anti-Black racism in America; and the intersection between systemic racism and the legal profession.

Honorees will be recognized and winners will be unveiled during an&nbsp;awards&nbsp;event in Washington, D.C., on October 26, 2023.
