Lamiya N. Rahman and Blank Rome LLP Recognized in The National Law Journal Legal Awards 2023
Blank Rome LLP is pleased to share that associate Lamiya N. Rahman has been named a D.C. Rising Star by The National Law Journal in its 2023 Legal Awards, which recognizes the top litigation and appellate work from the previous year.
Additionally, Blank Rome was named a finalist for the D.C. Diversity Initiative of the Year in recognition of the firm’s 21-Day Racial Equity Habit Building Leadership Challenge. Introduced to the firm by Blank Rome partner Dominique L. Casimir, the initiative included a syllabus of 21 daily assignments and small group discussions focusing on the Black American experience, including Black history, identity, and culture; the experience of anti-Black racism in America; and the intersection between systemic racism and the legal profession.
Honorees will be recognized and winners will be unveiled during an awards event in Washington, D.C., on October 26, 2023.
