Blank Rome professionals have many years of experience in the public affairs field working with congressional and administration leaders in the national security, international relations and intelligence fields.  Our members' experiences at the White House, the Department of Defense, the United Nations and Capitol Hill gives us excellent contacts in the U.S. foreign policy establishment.  In addition, we have also established a network of contacts at the European Commission that allow us to gain insights for our clients on how U.S. and E.U. policies interact.

At the Department of State we have worked with officials in the Secretary’s office, at country and regional desks, and in American embassies to ensure our clients have the information they need to understand the policy environment in which they are operating.

Our ability to navigate our clients through the sometimes choppy waters of international policy issues is significantly enhanced by our strategic alliance with Interel—a Brussels-based public affairs firm with offices in major European capitals. Through this alliance, we work to bring our clients a broad perspective on upcoming developments in their industry.

Additionally, Blank Rome and Interel have established an International Advisory Board with an illustrious panel of advisors, representing a broad range of experience and knowledge.  The Board’s mission is to bring to Blank Rome and Interel its knowledge and experience with respect to public affairs, international relations and issues of current, worldwide interest and importance, as well as to serve as a regular forum for discussion and exchange of views on significant developments in these fields of mutual interest.

Through the resources we have assembled, we are able to provide the following services for our clients in this area:

  • strategic advice on the impacts of E.U. and U.S. policy changes on the client’s business;
  • representation before E.U. policymakers;
  • representation at the E.U. member state level; and
  • representation in Washington with the U.S. foreign policy, trade and natural security establishments.
