Blank Rome has a proven track record of success representing state and local governments of all sizes across the United States on a range of government relations matters. We have helped state and local clients gain federal funding to develop major economic development projects, build and improve transportation systems, build and modernize affordable housing, improve law enforcement resources, and advance other important projects and programs.
We enjoy strong relationships with officials at the state and local level in states and regions nationwide as a result of our representation of state and local governments; our team's history of prior government service; and active participation with key organizations, such as the National Governors Association, Republican Governors Association, the Democratic Governors Association, and the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
We track the progress of specific legislation affecting state and local governments. When necessary, we have prepared lobbying materials, including memoranda on state issues, summaries for use when communicating with legislators, testimony for hearings, and amendments to legislation, and we have organized state and national coalitions to advance client interests.
