The Department of Defense’s (DoD's) efforts to transform the military into a smaller, faster, and technologically superior force have created a rapidly evolving defense and national security environment. We guide our clients – large and small – through the process of doing business with the DoD. We assist our clients with the DoD's evolving requirements and find opportunities, whether for science and technology, research and development, procurement or contracting.
We represent a broad range of clients within the defense industry and many technology firms looking to introduce their products to the armed services and the agencies within the Department of Defense. We work with DoD on a daily basis and understand the specific details of the department’s budget and acquisition process. We help defense officials understand new, emerging technologies and create sponsorship opportunities for our clients. We work closely with the congressional defense committees to secure client opportunities for authorization and appropriations support.
BRGR’s defense team is comprised of government affairs professionals with extensive service and experience in the armed forces and defense policy making, including four individuals of flag and general officer rank. These include the former Director of Legislative Affairs for the U.S. Marine Corps, two former legal specialists in the U.S. Coast Guard, a former acting Judge Advocate General for the U.S. Navy and a former Deputy Chief of Staff for a senior House Member on the Armed Services, Intelligence and Veterans' Affairs Committees. These backgrounds make our team particularly knowledgable about the military establishment, its organization and processes, and congressional committees and Members of Congress who oversee authorization and appropriations for the armed forces.
