Blair Mixon assists Blank Rome and our clients with issues related to natural resources, energy, maritime, transportation, education and agriculture.

Prior to joining Blank Rome, Blair served as a legislative assistant to Representative Steve Southerland (R-FL) and was the primary advisor to the Congressman for his work on the House Natural Resources Committee and the Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife, Oceans and Insular Affairs. Ms. Mixon worked on a variety of issues relating to the Gulf of Mexico, particularly the Gulf Oil Spill and efforts to restore Gulf economy and environment. She was also responsible for the Congressman’s energy portfolio and played a key role in policy debates with the committee, Florida delegation and outside stakeholders regarding energy development in the Gulf of Mexico.

Prior to working for Congressman Southerland, Ms. Mixon worked for Congressman Paul C. Broun and then as a legislative correspondent for Congressman Michael Burgess (R-TX), who sits on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. There, she concentrated on issues related to energy development, health care, and foreign affairs.
